The 'Resistance is Existence' campaign is a creative collaboration between two New York City based designers: Nimrah Khanyari from Kashmir, and Joana Simões from Portugal. All profits go to a creative independent Kashmiri publication that covers social and cultural dissent within the valley, providing an honest understanding of everyday life.

To that end, this campaign hopes to raise awareness for the freedom of speech, right to information and aspirations of Kashmiri people, despite the decades long repression.

The t-shirt features two Kashmiri women from a little village within Tulail Valley. Both are dressed in pherans (traditional gown) and holding scythes. The phrase 'Resistance is Existence' is translated to Kashmiri and overlaid on the black and white image in a bright yellow and blue color.

From Kashmir to Palestine to Iran, this t-shirt hopes to speak truth to power.
